Copley Singers Christmas Concert @ Saint Cecilia Church
Dec 11 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Copley Singers Christmas Concert @ Saint Cecilia Church | Boston | Massachusetts | United States

Boston’s Copley Singers will present Holiday/Christmas Concerts on the dates below, featuring traditional and new arrangements of anthems and carols of the season. Brian Jones will conduct the 35–voice semi-professional Copley Singers in music of Willcocks, Rutter, Chilcott, Taverner, Leroy Anderson, Elizabeth Poston, and many others. The audience will be invited to join with the chorus in such favorites as ‘O Come All Ye Faithful,’ ‘God Rest You Merry Gentlemen,’ and ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing.’ The festive and engaging program will have something for everyone in the audience to enjoy.

John Robinson writes in The Boston Musical Intelligencer:

“The Copley Singers sang with nuance, sweetness and musical conviction in a wide repertoire of Christmas works. In many ways, Christmas suits this choir perfectly—the wide range of emotions, a sense of the nostalgic made present, the outpouring of good will. As many of these young singers encounter this music for the first time, there is a palpable sense of discovery about the singing.”
