Nativity Preparatory School

www.nativityboston.org Nativity Prep is a tuition-free Jesuit middle school serving boys of all faiths from low-income Boston families. The school requires participation in evening study and Saint Cecilia sends tutors each week during the academic year to work with boys one-on-one on their homework. Additionally, the parish provides dinner four times per semester for the boys, staff, and tutors—close to 60 meals. We are looking for a roster of substitute tutors who can fill in for the regular tutors who have committed to a weekly assignment, and folks to either provide desserts, juice, or funds to contribute to serving dinner. We have a limited but real need for helpers to cook, clean, and serve. For more information on participating in this ministry, please contact Susan Donnelly.

Advent Giving Tree

The annual Advent Giving Tree invites parishioners to celebrate the season of Advent by providing Christmas gifts to men, women, and children in need. The Advent Giving Tree, dressed with gift tags, is placed in the narthex on the First Sunday of Advent. Help is needed to prepare tags, assemble and decorate the tree, and sort gifts as they arrive. For more information about this ministry, please contact Ann Faldetta.
