Prison & After Ministry
Every Monday night a group of parishioners gather in the Parish Center to offer support and to create community with men who were, at one time, in prison.
Saint Cecilia’s Young Adult Ministry
Saint C’s Young Adult Ministry is for parishioners between the ages of 20-40 looking to explore their faith while meeting new people and building community.
A person once asked me, in a provocative manner, if I approved of homosexuality. I replied with another question: ‘Tell me: when God looks at a gay person, does he endorse the existence of this person with love, or reject and condemn this person?’ We must always consider the person. Here we enter into the mystery of the human being. In life, God accompanies persons, and we must accompany them, starting from their situation. It is necessary to accompany them with mercy.”

Saint Cecilia Parish welcomes lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Catholics to worship God, to fully participate in the life of this community, and to speak openly in an environment that is safe, loving, and supportive. The Saint Cecilia Rainbow Ministry desires to help LGBT Catholics seek reconciliation with the Church. In the past, this group has organized a Lenten speaker series, volunteer opportunities, and social events. For more information about this ministry, please contact Charles Petit.
